Pinch hitting Greg Martin hit a grand slam in the seventh inning to push St Joe’s Prep
past a stunned Carroll Team and fans. The Hawks entered the final frame of the game
trailing ten to five. After a walk, hit batter and a single, Greg Martin in a pinch hitting role
took a fastball from Shoemaker over the Centerfield fence for a grand slam and opened up the
seven run inning for the Prep putting them in front 12 to 10. In the bottom of the 7th,
Carroll could not muster any offense in response to St Joe’s.
